Our PV Combiner Box is designed to
combine the output of multiple solar
electric (PV) source circuits. Each
circuit can accept up to 15 Amps of
PV input current up to a total
maximum of 225 Amps.
The Amptech Combiner Box provides a
convenient, visual way to isolate the
PV array input circuits. No interruption
of the power production of other circuits in the array is required. This reduces the time required to troubleshoot any PV related circuitry problems and improves safety.
The combiner box is designed for installation near the PV array. Each series string of solar modules is connected to one of the fused circuits. Up to 15 solar array inputs may be combined at the Amptech Combiner Box, yet only a single pair of wires is required between the Combiner Box and the PV inverter location. This can result in considerable savings in the cost of wire since fewer wires will have to be run. Each input circuit will accept up to #10 AWG wire. The Amptech Combiner Box has two sets of output terminals (AWG #4/0 wire max) so that parallel pairs of wires may be run for installations with large arrays or where long distances are an issue
Amptech Energy Systems is the alternative energy balance of systems (BOS) supply specialist. Amptech Energy Systems has designed the CB 1620F12 and the CB1620F15 Solar PV Combiners collaboratively with input from the Solar PV industry. Input from Solar PV BOS installers, Solar PV BOS integrators, Solar PV BOS electricians, Solar PV BOS design engineers, Solar PV BOS marketers, Solar PV BOS manufacturers and Solar PV BOS educators were actively sought and incorporated to make this the most user friendly PV BOS combiner in the Solar PV industry.
